Kilcullen businesses and services reopening

Fallons Restaurant has now further formalised its Take Away service with a new website where customers can view their menu and order for collection or delivery.

The Parish Office is open from 10am until 1pm, Monday to Friday. It will resume normal opening hours in due course. Plans are underway for the re-opening of the Churches (Kilcullen & Gormanstown) for masses to the public.

Pretty & Polished Beauty in Cnoc na Greine is reopening on Monday with full Covid spread precautions and protocols.

Crean's Place have established an online shop for the bakery products they developed over the last year.


Tickets for the Parish Lotto Draw are on sale in Steve's Daybreak, for the first Draw in several months taking place next Tuesday as well as from usual promoters.

Woodbine Books have taken their reopening a stage further. One person at a time, or a family group, is now allowed browse for books in the shop, having used the hand-sanitising facility. Appointments can also be made for a specific time slot. Call (045) 482777. Schoolbook orders are also being processed.

Evelyn O'Sullivan's Drama Dynamics will be starting their Autumn classes in a new home, the Kilcullen Community Centre. More details when we have them, but she can be contacted at 087 6441504 in the meantime.

Kilcullen & Gormanstown Parish Lotto Draw will recommence on Tuesday 30 June at 9pm. All usual local outlets will have tickets on sale and the majority of promoters are happy to sell tickets. All Social Distancing will apply in the Parish Centre and in the Lotto on draw night.

Harristown House Language School will be starting Summer Camps for children on 27 July. Lots of French and lots of fun activities. Call 087 7414971. Places for 10 August (Beginners), 17 August (Beginner Juniors), and 24 August (Improvers).

Bardon's Restaurant will be reopening on Monday 29 June, with limits on numbers and other restrictions in line with the guidelines. Bookings only, 045 482286.

Other local businesses reopening include Fallons Restaurant, on Tuesday 30 June. By booking only, 045 481260.

Shelly's Barbers will be reopening on Monday 29 June. Only three people will be allowed in the shop at any one time. Sanitisers available and clients are asked to use them at all times. The slot 9am-12 noon daily is allocated to pensioners and vulnerable. It is a walk-in service after that.

Ellen's Hair Salon, serving clients in Kilcullen for 19 years, will be opening for pre-booked appointments only. Phone 045 481082 for available dates and times.

Pretty & Polished Beauty, is now taking appointments for treatments and upcoming Nail Courses. Limited availability for Nail courses in early July, fully booked for late July and August and limited availability for September and October.

Hair by Eilis are ready to go with all safety precautions in place. Working by waitlist and appointment at 045 481871.

The Hair Emporium will be working from a waitlist once the backlog of cancelled appointments is completed.
