Evelyn O'Sullivan to close her Studio, but Drama Dynamics continues

Some sad news from Evelyn O'Sullivan in that she has decided to close the Studio on Hillcrest, which her Drama Dynamics groups have been using since 2014, writes Brian Byrne.

But she is continuing her speech and drama classes, albeit now in the new ways that the Covid-19 situation has caused businesses like Drama Dynamics to evolve.

"Covid has changed the way we do things, and it is no longer possible to keep the studio open," she says in a post on her Facebook page. "I want to reassure everyone, that this is the beginning of a new dawn in Drama Dynamics. Our classes will resume in September, just not in the studio. I'm not going to pretend this was an easy decision, I have shed a tear or two, but now I am excited to see where this new chapter leads."

She notes that despite the Covid disruption, none of her students missed a class this year, and parents and students had adapted seamlessly to online classes since 24 March. "We have students as young as 6 in Kindergarten Grade to 18 years of age, completing their Grade 8 exam online. I know that we will start a new era in September. I even plan to add a teaching diploma to our lessons so good positive times ahead."

She also thanks the people of Kilcullen and surrounds for their 'incredible support' since Drama Dynamics began in 2005.

The Diary will be talking to Evelyn this afternoon and you can listen to the interview in an upcoming Kilcullen Diary Podcast.
