Wigs and hairdo wonders at the Ball

The Kildare Gardai Shave, Dye or Wig raised €22,000 in support healthcare workers at Athy and Naas hospitals, writes Brian Byrne.

The 15 gardai chose to either have their heads shaved, dyed or wear a novelty wig and to raise funds in the process.

The funds will go towards staff recreational amenities in both hospitals, and those involved wish to thank the public for their support and generosity.

(There's no mistaking that pink wig!)
