Weatherday: A spaceman came travelling

Another beautiful start though there's a chilly fresh breeze out there. It will remain sunny through the day, with air temperatures in the Kilcullen area reaching around 15deg, again feeling warmer in direct sun.

Easterly winds will ease to moderate during the day.

On this day in 1961, astronaut Alan Shepard became the first American in space. (You can listen to my piece about him below.)
