Sabina is doing the Marathon in a Month for Irish Cancer Society

Local cancer survivor Sabina Reddy has set up a fundraiser for the Irish Cancer Society as part of the Society's Marathon in a Month challenge for the month of June, writes Brian Byrne. Contributions can be made through the ICS everydayhero page or on Facebook .

Her target is €500 for the Society and she says any contribution will make an impact, whether the donation is a little or a lot.

The Marathon in a Month challenge invites individuals or household groups to walk, run, or jog the marathon distance in their home, back garden, or within the 5km restricted distance from their home. If you want to do it yourself, registration can be done here.

Last year over 1,000 people took part in the challenge.
