Nearly €3,000 raised for Naas Hospital in Mallorca Virtual Challenge

We raised nearly €3,000 last weekend for Naas Hospital doing Mallorca Virtual Challenge for Kids and Adults, write Mariusz Olejniczak and Beata Zielinska of No 1 Fitness in Kilcullen.

We got over 70 people involved with the event, which we organised after much thought on what we can do to help frontline workers while still obeying the guidelines to stay home and only exercise within 5km of our homes.

The target was €2,000, with the money raised to be donated to Naas General Hospital. At this point we have reached €2,935 on our GoFundMe page. We will leave the page open for another few days and then donate the all monies to the Hospital. Bernie McMahon from the hospital would like say 'thank you' to all involved for your hard work and kind donations.

Participants did a 5k walk or run on the Friday, 12 rounds of Live Zoom Tabata workout or a bike round on the Saturday, and finished with a 21km walk or run on the Sunday. There were medals for all finishers, who were also in for a lottery.
