Even in such surreal times, providing the programme for this year was decided as an essential to help boost morale in the community.
Flowers will be planted in the window boxes and planters by KCA members over the next two weekends, with the plan to have the boxes installed over the June Bank Holiday.
"As we feel the normal financial supports from the community and businesses will not be available, we are starting a GoFundMe page to raise funds this year," says the organiser Ray Kelly. "Our message is a positive one, to make our town bloom this summer and create a happy positive feeling in our town."
Donations can be made here to the fund, by individuals and businesses.
