Looking Back: What and when was this?

The nostalgia quiz pic for today is again from Nessa Dunlea's copious archives, and is undated and without context.

She thinks it might be a gathering to do with Kilcullen Boxing Club. Many of the faces are familiar, and if we can get a date and names, it would be very helpful for future generations.

UPDATE: From Frank Mitchell, kneeling in the front row on the right are Joe Delaney and Billy Mitchell; and sixth and seventh from left in the back row are Timmy Lynch and Jerry Kelly from Nicholastown. Mary Orford suggests it was either the big celebration for Olympic boxer Colm McCoy, or the official opening of the JFK Hall. She notes there are three Orfords including her Dad, Tommy and Billy. She also names Eithne Dempsey, Mrs McKenna, Mrs Howard and Mrs Aspell, and Arty Aspell. Joseph Fagan Jr says he recognises his late Grandfather Tom Berney, fifth from right in the back row, and his late Grandmother Philomena Berney in the second row far right. Also, he believes his uncle Jim Berney is third from right in the front row.
