A reminder of social distancing

A reader has written in to the Diary, concerned about what he sees as a non-observance of 'social distancing' in the town today.

He references 'scores' of young people, from teenagers through to those in their early 20s, 'all walking and hanging out together within the distances that they shouldn't'.

"Hopefully the parents who read your blog will tell their children of the dangers that they bring on themselves, and also potentially that they could bring into their homes."
