Kilcullen turnout same as in last General Election

The final voter turnout recorded in the Kilcullen polling station was 63pc, writes Brian Byrne. This is the same level as in the 2016 general election.

In the Exit Poll announced on RTE, three parties - Fine Gael, Sinn Fein, and Fianna Fail - have tied for top place to a question which asked which party was given first preference.

The poll also suggests that the 18-24 demographic went strongly for Sinn Fein, with 31.8pc.
