Work starts on Mozambique project helped by Kilcullen
Work has begun on the construction of the outdoor kitchen and toilet block for people attending the mission of Fr John Bermingham in Mozambique, writes Brian Byrne.
The work is being funded by the proceeds of last December's Miscellany on Sunday at the Bermingham family home in Mooretown, when friends of the family both entertained and were entertained.
The funds were boosted by an event hosted afterwards at the home of Phena Bermingham's cousin Michael's home with his wife Maureen.
In all, a total of €6,500 has been raised for the work, the photo showing the cutting of timber for the building's roof structure.
