Weather: cold, cloudy later, and showers at teatime

Blue now, clouds later.

On this day in 1880, Thomas Edison patented his electric incandescent lamp, and being stuck inside in bad weather would never be the same again.

A chill but clear start, no frost but a thin wind needed to be bundled up against. Cloudy from mid morning, raising the temperature to around 4degC maximum.

Dry until teatime and then there could be a couple of heavy showers. Another cold night then.
