Ballyshannon Action meeting next Thursday
There will be a meeting next Thursday 16 January at 8.30pm in Ballyshannon Hall to discuss next steps for the community in the Kilsaran planning application matter.
All are welcome to the meeting, which will be attended by Martin Heydon TD. All local representatives are being invited to attend.
"Kilsaran have appealed the refusal by Kildare County Council of their plans for a quarry in a highly unsuitable area in our community," the Ballyshannon Action Group says in a statement, calling for a strong attendance at the meeting. "We are not surprised by their appeal, but hopeful that An Bord Pleanala will support Kildare County Council’s decision on this application and ensure that our community's health and wellbeing is protected."
The deadline for making observations on the appeal is 29 January. The full appeal documents are available on the County Council website, referencing planning number 19/1097.
