Songs for a Winter Night this evening

The Songs for a Winter Night this evening will be one of those special events that have become a feature of Woodbine Books.

Starting at 7pm it will be an evening of seasonal music, poetry, laughter and prose from the pens of Patrick Kavanagh, Charles Dickens, Thomas Hardy, Mary Oliver and Laurie Lee, with new work from Angela Keogh and John MacKenna and music penned by the Fleet Foxes, Jackson Brown, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Gretchen Peters and Shane Sullivan plus traditional Christmas songs.

Performances by Shane Sullivan (guitar and vocals), Angela Keogh and John MacKenna. Tickets for this are €10, and can be booked at 045 482777.
