Signage project progressing, but slowly

One of the existing signs.
The long-standing subject of new signage for Kilcullen has moved forward, the most recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action heard, writes Brian Byrne.

Noel Clare noted that the Kildare Leader Partnership had re-approved in principle the KCA application for funding support and has appointed a person within the organisation to guide KCA through the procurement process.

He also said there may be a possibility of some supporting funds from Kildare County Council and KCA had been advised to make an application there as well.

However, he said that once the application process was completed, they would then have to wait for the next Leader meeting to sanction it.

The first signs will be erected at the entrances to Kilcullen at the Naas, Athy, Newbridge, Logstown and New Abbey roads.
