CPC TY students offer smartphone, computer courses for adults
A reminder that Cross and Passion College TY students will again be offering to help local adults more effectively use their smartphones, tablets and laptop computers, starting this Friday, writes Brian Byrne.
Under the 121digital.ie initiative, the students will be giving one-to-one tuition over six Fridays, commencing Friday 17 January 2020.
The free-of-charge tuition is aimed at beginners and improvers in digital age matters, and each session in the College will run from 11am-12.45pm.
Participants can choose their own topic and learn at their own pace.
Places can be reserved by phoning 045 481524 during office hours.
CPC Transition Year students have been undertaking this project since 2008, and gain certificates for their work. Pictured above is Mick Maher availing of the initiative in 2015.
121digital is supported by the Department of Communications, Energy and Natural Resources. It is also a Community Engagement partner with the Gaisce President's Awards. More information is available from the initiative's website.
