Christmas for Ngong children

Dear Diary readers, writes Gerry O'Donoghue of Maintain Hope, this isn’t a particularly Christmassy picture, yet it shows us that if Christmas is about anything, it is about sharing what we have with those who have less.

Julius, after a marathon shopping session in Ngong, is about to head off on his rounds to visit our families. As inexhaustible as Santa, he checks on all our children and makes sure that they are healthy and well fed over the Christmas season.

This loving care is made possible through the support of you, our families, friends and supporters. This photograph, taken today in Ngong, Kenya, is our Christmas greeting to you and our thanks for your goodness. There is always hope.
