Moon and Sixpence date for December
The Moon and Sixpence band will be performing in Kilcullen Town Hall on Thursday 12 December, to help fund the symbolic lighting of the Old Kilcullen Tower and the bridge at Kilcullen on the following weekend.
The well-loved Kildare band, who get together for charity events from time to time, have been performing and raising thousands of euros for charity for more than 20 years.
With a backline of piano, bass and drums, the frontline has rhythm and lead guitars supporting Siobhan Hurley on lead vocals. Siobhan’s distinctive vocal style is well known in music circles, crossing the entire music divide.
The Moon and Sixpence draw their repertoire from classic pop songs from the 1960s to the present day. The band was originally formed by the late Des Byrne of Kilcullen and John Reidy from Newbridge.
A definite musical date for December.
