First Responders campaign for defibrillator funds

There was a very good turnout for last Sunday's first training session for the revived Kilcullen Community First Responders unit, writes Brian Byrne.

In addition to those volunteering to be on-roster First Responders, there were also people who have previously trained in first response techniques but who wanted to refresh their skills.

Meanwhile, before the unit goes 'live', it will have to buy its own portable defibrillator, and a fundraising campaign for that is now under way.

The goal is €2,000 and a GoFundMe campaign can be donated to here.
