April Lawlor on European tour

Local singer April Lawlor is currently on tour in Europe as the support act to American singer Alec Benjamin, on sellout gigs in Berlin, Milan, Warsaw, and upcoming in Paris and at the London Olympia, writes Brian Byrne.

Daughter of Joey Lee and Suzanne Lawlor, 20-year-old April is a student at NCAD and a former pupil of CPC where she regularly sang solo in the musicals and at other ceremonies.

Also a songwriter for many years, April's musical abilities are also getting recognition beyond Kilcullen, and she has got a London-based manager and has been recording a number of her songs there.

Joey Lee and family are well known for their Johnny Cash Tribute Band and have performed also with the Kilcullen Gospel Choir locally.
