Two bicycles needing puncture repair or tube replacement, writes Brian Byrne. And there’s no way I’m going back to the days when I used to drive my mother mad in her kitchen doing such repairs myself — bending her spoons and forks in the process.

There’s no bicycle shop in Kilcullen, though, so no prospect of repairs done locally. So, enter Lucas from Apex Cycles in the Kildare Business Park.

He collects and delivers. A morning collection and afternoon delivery back for me during last week. Two bicycles ready for the road again.
