New Zealand 'in mourning for a month' after rugby defeat

Pic: Noel Clare.
Word came to the Diary last evening that New Zealand is 'in mourning' over their defeat by England in the semi-finals of the Rugby World Cup.

Kilcullen-born Jim Greenway says they will be in that state 'for at least a month'. "Even the share market drops when the All Blacks lose," he says.

Jim has been living in New Zealand for 46 years, with his New Zealand wife Wendy. He's pictured above in The Spout (second from left) on a visit home earlier this year, with old friends Maurice Baxter, Liam Baxter and Ray Kelly.
