Hay load overturns on the bridge

There was major traffic issues on the bridge earlier this afternoon when a tractor-trailer load of hay overturned. This picture by Celia Travers shows the immediate aftermath. Celia had a short time earlier been tending the flowers on the bicycles on the bridge.

No one was injured.




Update at 5.20pm, after a considerable effort, with the road closed to traffic, the trailer was righted and the load is currently being placed on several other trailers.
