Pinkeen Stream looks in good health

Walking by Pinkeen Stream the other day, the health of the stream is very evident in the crystal clear water, and the luxuriant growth along the bank and in the waterway, writes Brian Byrne.

Though a very short tributary of the Liffey, its current state is a haven for many kinds of wild-life, thanks to work of volunteers and CE participants associated with Kilcullen Community Action.

Such streams, regardless of length, are important to the health of the whole river, and a very good presentation on this can be read on catchments.ie here.
