Sponsor found for Sarah Swaine Memorial Run 2020
A sponsor has come forward to fund the medals for the 2020 Sarah Swaine Memorial Run, following an appeal by the organisers, writes Brian Byrne.
The funder is CarveOn, the premium leather crafts business operated by Alan and Gary McCormack in Kilcullen. The company will pay for the medals for the event, in return getting its name on the medal ribbon. The run is scheduled for 12 January next.
“We were more than excited to get the call from them to help out with the cost,” says Carrie Swayne, aunt of Sarah who died from cancer at the age of 19. “This means, thanks to their generosity, all funds will go directly to our charity which is what our run is all about.”
The run will begin on the day at 1pm and registration is only open on the day of the event. This year’s charity will be Make a Wish Foundation who granted Sarah's wish in 2014 and took her to see her idol Taylor Swift.
