Something for the Saturday
Just a reminder of a couple of things in Kilcullen today worth taking a detour for.
The Teach na nDaoine project group will be giving tours at the old Dispensary today to show how much has been done on the building and will outline what remains to be carried out to finish it. There will be an opportunity to support a 'Buy a Paving Brick' campaign. 10am-1pm and all welcome.
For children and teens, the Woodbine Books Illustration Workshop by David Butler from 12.30 will obviously be fascinating. Not sure if there are places left, but call 045 582777 to find out. From 2pm, Mario Corrigan and David will be there to sign their new book, Ghosts from the Other Realm. No booking needed for that.
(By the way, while in Woodbine, don't forget to congratulate Saoirse for her recent win of the James Patterson Young Bookseller Special Achievement Award.)
