Link road land swap agreement finalised

The agreement to swap land between Kilcullen GAA and Kildare County Council to facilitate the completion of the link from the Athy Road to the Newbridge Road has been finalised, writes Brian Byrne.

That was the Council's response to a question on the Agenda of the Kildare-Newbridge MD meeting on Wednesday, in which Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer was asking for an update on the position.

The legal process is now under way to complete the transaction, officials say. But there is no budget for the project, and a Part 8 process will be required before the link can proceed.
