JB Murphy working the track to Japan

JB Murphy is pictured above competing in the Dublin Grand Prix on Saturday, writes Liam Walker.

This event is held annually in Sundrive Road Velodrome in Crumlin. JB was competing against some of the top riders in the World as he competes for world ranking points to try qualify for next year's Olympics in Japan.

His next event is the European Championships in Ghent in Belgium which starts on Tuesday morning. Cycling Ireland are sending a team of four riders to this event.

After the Europeans, JB will come home for a break and will be taking part in the Murphy Surveys Charity Cycle in aid of Crumlin Children's Hospital on Saturday the 20th of July.

Murphy Surveys are one of JBs biggest benefactors.
