Generous result for open garden weekend

The weekend's Open Garden afternoons hosted by Francis and Mary Shortt raised €1,100 for KARE, writes Brian Byrne.

That was significantly more than was raised the last time they held such an event, in 2017, according to Mary.

The good weather probably helped, but 'it was also great to see a lot of new faces', she added.
