Construction work at CPC
Building work is underway at Cross and Passion College on the second phase of Temporary Accommodation to provide for an additional Technology Room and an Agricultural Science Laboratory, writes Principal Catherine Moynihan.
This will facilitate the introduction of the two additional Leaving Certificate subjects at the College. From September 2019, Senior Cycle students will have the opportunity to study Agricultural Science and Technology for Leaving Certificate examination in June 2021.
Site preparation began on Monday 17th June with Instaspace Ltd as the main contractors. The project will take eight weeks to complete and the College looks forward to having the new facilities in operation for the beginning of the new academic year.
For the period of construction, the contractors will access the site through a temporary access on the R448, as on previous projects. Work will be carried on between 8am and 6pm each weekday.
The site will be fully fenced off and we hope that there will be minimal disruption for local residents over the period of the work.
We really appreciate the good wishes of the community and its support throughout.
