Boston business trip

Kildare business will have the opportunity to make connections with Boston USA in the autumn as part of a delegation to the city led by County Kildare Chamber, writes Brian Byrne.

The trip, between 30 September and 4 October, has the primary aims of helping local enterprises to do business in US export markets and also to raise the profile of Kildare in the US North-East as a desitination for investment.

It is also hoped the trip will facilitate new partnerships and strengthen economic, political and cultural relationships between Kildare and Boston.

A number of meetings have already been arranged, or are in the process of being so, with a range of potential partnerships in business, education, tchnology, construction and law, as well as with IDA Ireland and the Irish Consulate in Boston.
