'Beached' boat beautifies Hillcrest
The boat was donated by Kilcullen Canoe Club, and the installation of it as a feature and unique flowers planter was done as part of a refreshing of the mural, originally put in place in 2016.
Note also the nautical theme of the other planter on the site, with its ship's portholes effect.
On a related note, dog walkers are asked not to allow their pets do their business at the location, which was described at one recent meeting of KCA as 'possibly the worst place' on main street for dog pooh.
