Would-be thieves smash car window at graveyard
A car's window was smashed yesterday at New Abbey Graveyard, just after 3pm, writes Brian Byrne.
There was no property taken as nothing had been left in vehicle. But the perpetrators may be in for a shock, as their activities and their own car were recorded on a dash-camera.
It is advised that people visiting the cemetery should make sure their cars are locked and that no personal belongings should be left in them.
Any suspicious activity in the region of the graveyard and St Brigid's Cemetery should be reported to the Garda at Kilcullen, phone 045 481212. Kilcullen Garda Station is backed up by Naas Garda Station, to which calls are routed when Kilcullen is closed.
