Health Centre ready for reopening soon
The Kilcullen Health Centre, closed since last November for 'essential works', is on track for reopening next month, writes Brian Byrne.
This has been confirmed to Tracey O'Dwyer, local election candidate for Fine Gael, who raised the matter with the HSE recently.
"People didn’t seem to know when or if the Health Centre was re-opening," she says, "in particular families with new babies who had to travel to Newbridge for check-ups. So I raised the query and the HSE Head of Service in Primary Care replied confirming that all works should be completed by the end of May."
During the closure period, Dressing Clinics and Core Development Screening Clinics for Kilcullen have been held in Newbridge on a temporary basis, while non-ambulant patients have been seen at home.
