Wildlife expert for Saturday's tree planting

The site prepared for planting.
RTE Wildlife presenter Eanna Ni Lamhna will be joining Kilcullen Community Action volunteers and local people taking part in the planting of 700 trees in Kilcullen on Saturday, writes Brian Byrne.

Everybody in town is welcome to go along to the event, which will run between 11am-3pm at the planting location down near the Mill Stream.

Access to the area is by the Mass Path to New Abbey which begins at the Church end of The Valley Park.

The initiative is one of the Kilcullen 700 celebration events, and the trees are provided by the Tree Council of Ireland.

Families are especially welcome.
