Two musical events for Easter time

Two upcoming events in the parish should be of interest to music loving parishioners as we approach Easter, writes Brian Byrne.

The first is Palm Sunday Special Liturgical Event at the Vigil Mass in the Parish Church on Saturday 13 April, beginning at 6.30pm. It features the music of Handel, Wesley, Elgar, Dubois and Teschner, with the Gormanstown Choir directed by Dorly O'Sullivan and organist Peter Moloney.

A Musical Meditation on Holy Week will be presented in Gormanstown Church on Wednesday 17 April, also featuring the Gormanstown Choir. It begins at 8pm and will last 40 minutes. Donations will be accepted for the Parish Church Roof Fund.
