Support from former FG leader for Tracey

There was a steady stream of well-wishers and supporters to the Bermingham family home today when they hosted an event for Fine Gael local election candidate Tracey O'Dwyer, writes Brian Byrne.

Among them was longtime party stalwart and former leader of Fine Gael Alan Dukes. Deputy Martin Heydon and Cllr Ivan Keatley were also there in support.

In a long political career, Alan Dukes also served as minister in the departments for Transport, Energy and Communication; Justice; Finance; and Agriculture.

Tracey is running for a seat in the Newbridge-Kilcullen electoral area. The poll takes place on 24 May.
