Presentations to drama group stalwarts

In a very special moment at the end of the final night of 'A Wake in the West', one stalwart of Kilcullen Drama Group presented another with a memento of appreciation for 60 years on the stage with the group, writes Brian Byrne.

Bernard Berney outlined the acting, directing and writing career of Dick Dunphy since his first experience on the Kilcullen stage, and handed over a Joe O’Connor creation to mark the achievement.

In turn, Bernard was also given a similar presentation of his own, as well as a framed photograph of himself with the cast of the most recent play.

Finally, the play's director, Eilis Phillips, was presented with a bouquet on behalf of the cast.
