'No roundabout' for Thompson's Cross
There's 'no way' that a roundabout will be built at Thompson's Cross, last night's meeting of Kilcullen Community Action was told, writes Brian Byrne.
Antoinette Buckley was reporting from a meeting she had at the junction with the area engineer, whom she said told her the oft-requested roundabout will not be built.
She added that excessive speed on the approach to the junction was very apparent, and it was agreed that a reduction of the speed limit to 60km/h 'would make a huge difference'.
Pat Mangan told the meeting that a submission to reduce the speed limit has already been made.
