Local groups get CU grants
Fourteen local organisations have been given grants from Kildare Credit Union in its Community Outreach Programme for 2019, writes Brian Byrne.
They are St Josephs National School, Halverstown; Old Kilcullen Area Community Association; Maintain Hope; Kilcullen Lions Club; Kilcullen Gospel Choir; Kilcullen Dawn Walk; Kilcullen Community Games; Kilcullen Community Centre; Kilcullen Community Childcare & Education Centre; KCA Tidy Towns; Kilcullen Canoe Club; Kilcullen Bowls Club; Kilcullen 700; and Camphill Community Dunshane.
The Kildare Credit Union Community Outreach Programme was introduced in 2016. Last year, over €20,000 was distributed between 50 local organisations in its membership base for many diverse projects.
