Community Clean-up date set
The day was decided at the most recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action because last Saturday's planned Kilcullen 700 Tree Planting clashed with the An Taisce National Spring Clean day and the Lily White Spring Clean.
The Easter Market also precluded having it this coming weekend and the following Easter weekend was also deemed not to be suitable, as many families would be otherwise engaged.
The Community Clean-up will begin at 9.30am, and residents groups and other community organisations are to be invited to do their own litter picking.
The meeting decided that a mid-week cleanup night will then be undertaken by Kilcullen Community Action members each week through the summer.
