Brannockstown Community Group
A meeting of the Brannockstown Community Group was held in Brannockstown National School on the 2nd of April, writes Anthony Carter.
The meeting elected Paul Aspell as Chairperson, Peter Clarke as Treasurer and Anthony Carter as Secretary.
The meeting discussed the offer from Kildare County Council to meet member of the group to discuss traffic calming in the village. If anybody has suggestions in advance of the meeting please contact a member of the group or come along to our next meeting on the 30th of April — all are welcome. Also, if you are interested in joining the group please contact Tracey O’Dwyer on 087 6533706.
Other priority topics discussed included tidy towns, planting in the village, grant applications, the village defibrillator fund and plans for a general village Spring clean.
The village Spring clean will be held on Saturday 13th April. Anybody available to support please meet in the car park of the Baptist Church at 11am. It is hoped to hold the Spring clean from 11am to 2pm. It will also be a great way for residents of the village to meet up and get connected after the Winter months. Also, for safety reasons, please wear high-viz jackets and gloves and if you have any gardening implements please bring them along.
Looking forward to seeing you on the 13th.
The new group would like to thank the previous committee for all their hard work and dedication.
