Weather from a Kilcullen Window

At 12.42am: After a wet night and 0deg early morning temperatures, it was sunny and cold this morning. Now a nasty wind has whipped up (the daffodils are looking glum and hunkering) and the wintry showers earlier forecast for 3pm have arrived early. It's spitting snow out there just now, though some blue sky still visible in the distance.
Definitely a day for the fire and the match on TV.

Highest temperatures to 6deg will start to fall again from 2pm, and it'll be cold overnight. Generally a status yellow snow-ice warning will expire at 6am on Monday morning, with interim forecast of scattered thundery showers of hail, sleet and snow expected during the period. Poor visibility, with slippery and icy conditions, will occur at times.
