Strong business response to Easter Market
The signs are up on the bridge, sponsored by local company Ecokem, and the Easter Market is now clearly coming up over the horizon, writes Brian Byrne.
According to co-organiser Antoinette Buckley, there has been a very strong response in bookings for stalls, and there will be a wide variety of businesses taking part in the Market on Saturday 13 April.
"We have a great mix of local stall holders signed up," she says. "They include crafters, gifts, jewellery, flowers, plants, cakes and breads, hot food from several local restaurant and food suppliers, flowers and Easter wreaths, books and more.
"There will also be stalls selling preserves, personalised gifts, hot chocolate and coffee, and for the young people we have face painting, a DJ, nails and tattoos by Tara."
Woodbine Books will be organising an Easter Egg hunt for children of two age groups on the day.
"It's going to be a great community day," Antoinette says. "I hope all local families put the 13th of April in their diaries, and spread the word."
