Geraldine dancers in US Festival

Getting into the spirit of things at the Killington Irish Festival weekend, in Vermont, USA, are the young people from the Geraldine School of Irish Dancing, writes Brian Byrne.

They arrived on Wednesday with their teacher Tracey O'Dwyer, and already have been kept very busy ... but there's been time to break for genuine American pizza.

Meantime, if Tracey looks at home in the office of their hotel, that's because it's owned by her brother. With her business qualifications, Tracey literally 'moonlights' from her home in Grangemore looking after many of the management functions there, via the magic of the internet and time zone difference.

No doubt she's also keeping an eye from over there on political things back here over the weekend, as she builds up her campaign for a Fine Gael Council seat in the Kilcullen-Newbridge LEA elections upcoming in May.

Geraldine dancers will also be featuring in the Kilcullen St Patrick's Day Parade, rolling off at 11am this Sunday.
