Family trees in The Tanyard
Mario Corrigan of the Kildare Library & Arts Service will be tracing family trees straight off the internet in The Tanyard, Ballitore, on Monday 4 March, writes Sean Cleary.
Beginning at 7.30pm, it's the March event from The South Kildare Heritage & History Group.
Mario will go through, in detail, how you yourself can do this 'on line' using the information that is now available at the click of a Google switch.
All births, deaths and marriages are available but there are many other sources that he will show you haw they fit in as you search the years before you were born.
Maybe you, like Ryan Tubridy, will trace your family tree back to British Royalty ... if that is what turns you on!
Come early, before the crowd! Tea, gourmet coffee, bickies and a chat about almost anything.
