Council grants closing date next month
The Kildare County Council Community, Festival, and Residents Association Grants schemes will close to applications on Tuesday 12 March, writes Brian Byrne.
The Community Grants provide financial assistance to community groups engaged in activities which encourage community participation and promote community well being. The maximum grant is €3,000 and last year the Council paid out €191,250.
Festival Grants assist voluntary groups who promote key festival events in County Kildare. The maximum grant here is €2,000 and the Council awarded €100,000 in total last year.
Private Residents Associations Grants are based on the size of the Association, and €128,050 was awarded last year, along with €56,000 to Local Authority RAs.
To be eligible, groups must be formally established and must be able to produce Articles of Association or Minutes of AGM/Meetings.
