Steiner Secondary enrolments open

Enrolments are now open for the new Steiner Secondary School, which is due to open in September, writes Brian Byrne.

This follows a special conference held in Newbridge last October, on 'Secondary Education for a New Generation'.

The school will be 'grounded in critical thinking, balanced with imagination and creativity'.

Experiential learning which allows topics such as science 'to come alive' will be a feature, as will core Steiner principles based on fostering inner strength and resilience along with empathy, compassion and community building.

The Kildare Steiner School celebrated its 30th anniversary last September with a special day for parents and pupils at the school at Rathargid, Dunlavin.
