Big thank you from Sarah Swaine Run organisers
A virtual Walk/Run related to Sunday's Sarah Swaine Memorial Run 2019 is still open on the event's PopupRaces.ie page for those who couldn't participate but still want to contribute, writes Brian Byrne. Those who complete it qualify for a medal.
The organisers would like to thank everyone who helped with the event, including sponsors Douglas Jewellers in Carlow for sponsoring the trophies; Fyffes bananas; Cross's Centra Kilcullen; and Lidl stores Naas; and all others who donated spot prizes.
Thanks are also expressed to St John's Ambulance, Fr Mackey and the Kilcullen Parish Centre, Linda O'Connell from Aoibheann's Pink tie, and Wayne O'Driscoll for helping with the virtual run.
Also thanks to Snap Happy by Yvonne, Castledermot Megger Club, outrider Joe Swords, Kilcullen gardai, the 9th Kildare Scout Troop, Deputy Mayor of Kildare Robert Power, Mayor of Naas Municipal District Billy Hillis.
"But most importantly, thanks to the people who came and ran or walked on the day," says Carrie Swayne, "because if it wasn't for them we wouldn't raise money."
