Kildare has 'challenges and opportunities' to address

Challenges and opportunities in Kildare include maintaining the current momentum of attracting and retaining FDI, says the recently elected President of County Kildare Chamber, Maureen Bergin.

Speaking after her re-election as President at the Chamber's recent AGM, the Community and Business Relations Director with Kildare Village said that other important matters include putting further policies in place to support the SME sector and embracing the next generation of talent.

She said the Chamber continues to grow in strength which is testament to the hard work of the team in the office and the outgoing committee. “Key for the next year is building on the continued success of the Chamber and ensuring we deliver and engage with business in every town in Kildare and within every sector of business," she concluded.

Other officers elected at the AGM were Luke Hanahoe, Vice President, of Hanahoe and Hanahoe Solicitors; Keith Traynor, Treasurer, HTH Accountants; Mairead Hennessey, Secretary, Taxkey.

The members of the Chamber Executive are Pat Sutton, O’Kelly Sutton Chartered Accountants; Mary Fennin, Clanard Court Hotel; Ronan Twohig, House of Finance; Lloyd O’Rourke, Voice Engineer Ireland; Bernie Everard, The Splate Company; Noel Dempsey, The Dooley Insurance Group; John Hurley, Financial LTD; and Evan Arkwright, The Curragh Racecourse.
